For more than 40 years, Swanstone has been creating innovative and affordable solid surface products and materials for customers all over the world. It started in 1964, when they introduced the Swan Shell Shower, a doorless, shell-shaped shower that captured the spirit of its time.
The Shell Shower was the first in a long line of original kitchen and bath products from Swan, including the Circle Shower as well as the industry's first compression-molded bathtub wall system.
In 1987, they introduced Swanstone to the world, first with a line of vanity tops and bowls. Swanstone quickly became known for its superior impact strength, heat resistance, and ability to resist scratches and stains. Consumers now had an elegant and durable solid surface material that was also affordable.
Since then, the Swanstone line has expanded to include a wide variety of kitchen sinks, countertops, tub and shower walls, and more. In 1994 they introduced the Swanstone 1/4" sheet program, offering even more flexibility to Swanstone customers. In 1997 they introduced a complete line of Swanstone products for the restaurant industry, including tabletops, countertops, vanity tops, mop service sinks and windowsills.

easy to clean, easy to install in new construction and remodel projects. I installed in the shower, but it would be great next to the sink for "sink stuff". Easy to paint the white unit with spray paint for plastic.

This was the best investment for our shower. We are tight on space and having this shelf built into the wall is perfect. There's enough room for 3 shampoo bottles and 2 body washes, as well as soap and razors below. It came with everything you need to install: RTV to glue into the opening, white rtv for caulking around the shelf and good instructions.

Really attractive curve and useful depth. It is just about 2 inches taller and wider than I wanted but that isn't really a drawback. It fits perfectly between the studs.

Using tile in this type of application may allow water intrusion over time. This one piece design eliminates that concern. It installed in a snap, is heavy and tough, and looks even nicer than I expected.

This is great if you're looking for recessed shelfs in your shower. I can't stand those things you hang on the shower heads or those tiered shelfs you put in the corner of your shower so this was perfect for us. The other option is to cut a hole in the wall to build a recessed shelf yourself and put tile over it. That's more labor intensive and would match your shower tiles better, but still, this shelf looks great in our shower too. And the material is surprisingly sturdy. I expected some acrylic/plastic shelf but this feels more like stone/ceramic.
