I bought this to monitor my pulse while using a stationary bike. It does not provide accurate readings. It varies widely in it's readings even when I am stationary and resting. I am a physician and certainly know how to properly measure a pulse. Buying this was a mistake. I would have returned it but had already discarded the packing material. I guess I had too much faith that a simple item - for which I paid more than similar items [...] - would work properly.
