About New Zealand Radiata Pine Wood:
Radiata Pine, better known as 'New Zealand Pine' is a softwood tree that contains many properties that make it very suitable for furniture and furniture making. It has a density equal to that of hardwoods like poplar, mahogany and oak. Its uniform density ensures a smooth and consistent texture and confers its excellent machining, painting and staining properties; there is almost no variation in color between pieces. DaVinci's pine wood originates from forests maintained by managers that enforce environmental responsibility and the conservation of forest wildlife.

The best quality nursery furniture at the best price. Founded in 1990 by Daniel Fong, DaVinci was built upon the belief that they could provide the best quality nursery furniture at the best price. Over the years, collections, such as the Jenny Lind, have become known in the industry for being the “Best” of its kind. To this day the quality of their baby furniture is unmatched by competitors. Throughout the years, the demand for cribs and their functionality has continued to evolve. What was once a demand for simple cribs with single drop sides has changed to stylish cribs in dramatic colors that convert not only to toddler beds but also to full size beds. It was this demand that gave birth to the Emily Collection, the first of DaVinci’s convertible crib collections. Through DaVinci’s history, they continue to listen to the needs of the consumer and do their very best to provide the products, quality and functionality that is required.

Comments about DaVinci Kalani Combo Dresser in Honey Oak:
We are gradually putting our nursery together and this was the first piece of furniture we purchased. I wanted something that would be multi-use. Baby changer and dresser in one since the space we have is limited. I have ordered the additional changer tray to fit on the dresser but still on back order. Once the tray is not needed it will come off and we still have a nice dresser. The basic dresser itself is very sturdy. If you are looking for something that will never scratch or show much wear though then you need to think about paying a lot more for solid teak furniture or other solid wood. Having looked around the price you are paying for this dresser is what you should expect for the quality. Good furniture that will last a lifetime is not cheap this is quality but probably will not hold up for more than 8 - 10 years. I really love the design and the space in the drawers is ample for a little ones clothes. The support for the bottom of the drawers is a little flimsy. They will likely warp if you try to stuff too much in them. If you are handy I might suggest a little tweaking on your own, add to the underside of the drawers a piece of wood right in the middle and you have a better support. This brings up another issue regarding handiness. If you have no previous experience putting furniture together or solving puzzles the directions are like trying to solve a cryptogram. I like a challange so I was okay with it but they don't make it easy. Especially when one whole step was left out in the assembly of the drawers and I just had to figure it out on my own. You need to make sure you tighten all the screws and bolts correctly and the dresser will turn out very sturdy. The only other odd thing about this dresser the bottom of the cabinet is not permenently fixed. It is not ment to be an adjustable shelf, it is the bottom and it is free moving. You take it out and see the floor under the dresser. Not sure why this is part of the design. No reason for it to be movable, it should be fixed in place. The upper shelf also is not adjustable at the level you place it. There is only 1 choice. I am sure the design purpose is to cut the cost but why leave the shelf or the bottom loose to move around? Over all this dresser is attractive and will be functional for the purpose we have in mind.

very nice piece of furniture. Babys Crib Plus= the best. Dresser needs to be put together and instructions could be a little better, but its easy to figure out.

Comments about DaVinci Kalani Combo Dresser in Honey Oak:
As with the Kalani Crib we are very disappointed with this dresser combo. It scratches easily, dents easily and the drawers continuously fall apart. It is flimsy and has very little drawer room. We purchased this in May for our son who was born in June and we are already planning to replace it this spring. Spend more and get a better, safer, longer lasting product. It is truly a disappointment.

We bought it for our new nursery and it's just beautiful. \n\nIt was a little bit more expensive than what we planned to spend, but it's worth it.
