About New Zealand Radiata Pine Wood:
Radiata Pine, better known as 'New Zealand Pine' is a softwood tree that contains many properties that make it very suitable for furniture and furniture making. It has a density equal to that of hardwoods like poplar, mahogany and oak. Its uniform density ensures a smooth and consistent texture and confers its excellent machining, painting and staining properties; there is almost no variation in color between pieces. DaVinci's pine wood originates from forests maintained by managers that enforce environmental responsibility and the conservation of forest wildlife.

I looked for months trying to find a convertible crib that matched our woodwork. I was looking for a honey oak that didn't appear too orange. This looks beautiful and is very strudy. I was so happy with the price that I also bought the matching changing table. I am very glad I did!!

This was a great value for the money. I don't know that the set will hold up for the years it would take to use the bed convertability (toddler years and hard use, etc).
I'd still buy this again - it's a great purchase and a good value.

I assembled this crib myself and I think it is beautiful and sturdy. The only negative thing is that tying bumpers and other gadgets to the crib are a little difficult when on the first setting.

My in-laws put this together for me while I was at work. It was the last piece for the nursery. It looks wonderful! I can't wait for our little girl to come to put it to use. The only downside we ran into is that the standard mobiles do not fit it because the wooden sides are wider than other cribs. However, we were able to rig our mobile to fit so all is well.

Service and delivery comments:
I was not told until after the dresser arrived that the crib was out of stock. I had to call to find out, which was truly lousy customer service. Shipping was delayed several weeks, until I called and screamed, at which point the crib magically appeared and was shipped. If I had known it would be such a hassle I would have ordered from Babies R' Us and paid their additional shipping fees.
